The "Area news" is the official publication of the Lake of the
Woods District Property Owners Association (LOWDPOA). The
Area news is a
full-colour
magazine
delivered five times per year to Association members and key influencers in
policy, resource management, and civic affairs.
The Area news provides information about Association activities, editorial
position, membership news, member contributions, in-depth feature articles on
issues facing property owners, and trading post and bulletin board sections.
Members
automatically receive a
subscription to "Lake of the Woods Area
news", the only magazine
specifically for property owners in the Lake of the Woods
district. It provides members with:
- 5 issues each year;
- status updates on issues affecting property owners;
- bulletins on current projects of the Lake of the Woods District
Property Owners Association; and
- outstanding
editorial content, human interest, historical and environmental
articles by award-winning authors.
Over the past 38 years Lake of the Woods
Area news has been the information source for
residents and cottagers throughout the popular Lake of the
Woods watershed in Northwestern Ontario's lake country. It
is the only publication mailed directly to the homes of
cottagers.
