2010 Board of Directors
LOWDPOA is now accepting nominations for the 2010 Board of Directors. (Deadline March 5).
We are especially interested in candidates with business, marketing, organizational management, accounting, legal and environmental science experience. We also seek a broad geographical representation of our membership base. The primary qualification is a strong interest in the Lake of the Woods area and a willingness to represent the interests of our members.
Deadline for nominations is March 5, 2010, but we are accepting nominations throughout the year to fill a current vacancy of the existing Board.
Our extended deadline is April 5, but in that case, nominations must be accompanied by the signatures of 10 supporting members.
Prerequisites:
- Nominee must be a 2010 member in good standing of LOWDPOA
- The nominee must accept the nomination
- Name, email address and telephone number of the nominator must be included
- The nominee must provide a brief written outline of their expertise, experience, location of property and areas of interest to the Nominating Committee

48th Annual Lake of the Woods Cottage Show & AGM

The Lake of the Woods District Property Owners Association invites all members to the 48th Annual Cottage Show and Annual General Meeting. This popular events brings out more than 2000 cottagers who are passionate about the lake; the health of the region and the ongoing work of their Association.
Due to popular demand, the theme of this year’s event will once again focus on “Living Green at the Lake’ and will impact all aspects of the meeting from seminar topics to exhibits. Learn about what LOWDPOA is doing to promote environmental sustainability in the region, and how YOU can make a difference in and around your cottage and property.
The Cottage Show opens a bit earlier this year at 2:30 pm, giving you even more time to visit the more than 100 exhibits, attend the Annual General Meeting at 6:30 pm and listen to our presenters at the information seminars. As always, there will be something for everyone!
Stop into the Lake of the Woods District Property Owners Association booth where you’ll get updates on our activites and learn more about how your membership supports the important work of the Association.
